We’ve given this roundtable the title ‘Literature & Culture’. This session will invite reflections from the invited speakers and members of the audience on Trinity’s literary and visual heritage, and will explore how this inheritance is continually added to and reshaped by generations of writers and artists who have been welcomed into Trinity.

We are delighted to have confirmed the following participants, who we feel are the ideal people to speak about how this relationship and imaginative engagement has arisen:
  • Professor Gerald Dawe: Writer Fellows and the social literary life of college, own poetry that engages with Trinity, literary links with Westland Row
  • Caitriona Lally: how to write both College and Dublin into a work of contemporary fiction: Eggshells (2015)
  • Rachel McIntyre: Douglas Hyde Gallery – history of the gallery, link between college and contemporary art scene, Gallery 3 projects
